How much is Ski Famille childcare?

There is no additional charge, childcare is included in your holiday cost.

What age limits apply to childcare?

We accept children from a just few months up to 12 years old.

When does childcare take place?

Childcare is offered five days a week between the hours of 08.30 (09.00 at Chalets Petit Pierre and Burgrave) and 16.30 in Les Gets. Our Reberty childcare runs from 09.00 to 17.00. The two days off are Saturday and Wednesday.

Where does childcare take place?

Carers come to your chalet and use this as their base when looking after your children. This helps create a relaxed "home from home" environment for children of all ages.

Are all of your carers qualified?

The majority of our childcare team do hold a childcare, teaching or nursing qualification. They are supported by experienced helpers who have demonstrated a genuine enthusiasm for working with children. All childcare staff are first aid trained and checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.

What is the childcare ratio?

We follow OFSTED recommendations for day care and the ratio across the resort as a whole typically averages one carer to every four children.

Is ski-school included?

Instruction is not included in our childcare, however, we will take children to and from any lessons you have booked. We are able to offer pre-booking of lessons with the 360 International ski school (subject to availability). For full details of Ski Schools operating in Les Gets please look at the Ski School Information page.

What age can my child start ski school?

Generally the ski schools will take children from four years and above however it is worth contacting them to confirm.

Will a child seat be provided for my child on the transfer?

Transfers are provided by an external company who usually supply a coach. It is not possible or safe to fit child seats to this type of vehicle. Parents should be aware that French law does not require coaches to provide safety belts. Occasionally a smaller vehicle may be used for your transfer and we will fit a child seat wherever it is safe to do so. It is not normally possible for us to confirm the type of vehicle being used for your transfer until a few days before your holiday is due to begin. Private transfers can be booked if you would like to ensure the provision of a vehicle with child seats (only available for eight passangers or fewer - including children and infants).

What if my child has an allergy?

We will be able to cater for children with allergies however clients should inform the UK office before travelling.

What meals will my child receive?

For babies we provide a mix of Hipp Organic baby food, pureed fresh food and baby formula. For older children breakfast and evening meals are provided. A typical evening meal would be spaghetti bolognaise or fish fingers with peas and noisette potatoes.

Lunches for infants (under 2) are €4 per child per day. For older children they are €6 per child per day.

Do I need to bring a pram/cot?

Cots and prams will be provided, however clients should inform the UK office if a cot is required. Many clients find it useful to bring their own buggy as it is an easy way of seating/transporting children at airports.

My child has a disability, will this affect our holiday?

Our childcare team includes experienced nannies who will ensure that any disability is treated with sensitivity. Clients should discuss any special requirements with our UK office before making a confirmed booking. If your child requires one to one care we may have to apply an additional charge.

What other facilities are in Les Gets for children?

Les Gets is a traditional alpine village, however it has a surprising number of attractions and facilities. As well as fabulous skiing the resort offers a cinema, bowling alley and an ice rink.
